Buy and sell safely
HerdSetu connects buyers and sellers. We never handle money and are not a party to any deal, so please follow these steps.
Meet in person
Always inspect the animal yourself in daylight before paying anything. Take an experienced person or vet along.
Verify health
Ask for vaccination and health records, and check the animal's condition, milk yield and teeth in person.
Never pay in advance
Do not send money, deposits or advance payments before you have seen and collected the animal. Advance-payment requests are a common scam.
Stay on HerdSetu
Keep chatting on the app so there is a record. Be cautious if someone rushes you or asks to move off the platform.
Follow the law
These animals are for dairy, draught or breeding only - never for slaughter. Buyers must arrange the vet fitness certificate and follow transport rules.
Report problems
Use the Report button on any listing or chat if something feels wrong. You can also block a user from the chat or their profile.
