Welcome to HerdSetu, operated by HerdSetu ("HerdSetu", "we"). By using our website or app you agree to these Terms. HerdSetu is a listings and communication platform that connects buyers and sellers of live dairy, draught and breeding animals. We are an intermediary and are not a party to any transaction between users.

1. Eligibility & accounts

You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract.
You log in with your mobile number and a one-time password. Keep your account secure.
You are responsible for the accuracy of everything you post.

2. Listings & permitted use

Listings must be for live dairy, draught or breeding animals only.
Selling or advertising animals for slaughter, meat, beef or sacrifice is strictly prohibited, along with everything in our Prohibited Content policy.
You warrant that your listing complies with all applicable central and state laws, including cattle-preservation, animal-welfare and transport laws, and that you hold any permits required.
Every listing is screened by an automated check before publication and may be reviewed or removed.

3. Transactions are between users

HerdSetu does not buy, sell, own, inspect, transport or guarantee any animal.
HerdSetu does not handle payments. Price and payment are agreed directly between buyer and seller.
Inspect the animal in person and verify health records before paying. Never pay in advance.
HerdSetu does not arrange or advertise transport. Buyers must obtain the veterinary fitness certificate and follow the Transport of Animals Rules, 1978.

4. Your responsibilities

Do not post false, misleading, unlawful, or infringing content.
Do not harass other users or send spam.
Keep dealings on-platform so they remain safe and traceable.

5. Content licence

You keep ownership of your content but grant HerdSetu a licence to host and display it to operate the service.

6. Termination

We may suspend or remove accounts or listings that violate these Terms or the law.

7. Disclaimer & liability

The service is provided "as is". To the extent permitted by law, HerdSetu is not liable for disputes, losses, or the quality, legality or safety of any animal or transaction.

8. Grievances

For complaints, contact our Grievance Officer. We acknowledge complaints within 24 hours and aim to resolve them within 15 days.

9. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India.

Cattle slaughter and transport laws vary by state in India. HerdSetu is for the sale of live dairy, draught and breeding animals only. Sellers must comply with all central and state laws (including the Transport of Animals Rules, 1978 - vet fitness certificate and max 6 cattle per vehicle) and hold any required permits. HerdSetu does not arrange transport and is not a party to any transaction. This is not legal advice.
